Naver Map for Foreigners

Set up in 60 seconds

1. Download Naver Map

   App Store or Google Play, any country account works. Look for the green icon that says NAVER Map.

2. Switch to English

   Tap the menu (three lines, top left), then the gear icon, then Language, then English. Buttons and station names switch to English.

3. No account needed

   You can search, navigate, and use transit directions without signing up.

The 3 search tricks locals use

1. Paste the Korean name

   Small local places often don't match English searches. Copy the Korean name from Instagram, a blog, or this site, paste it in, exact match every time.

2. Search the phone number

   Found a place online with a phone number? Type the number into the search bar. The exact location pops up instantly.

3. Star everything

   Tap the bookmark icon on any place to save it. Your saved list becomes your personal Korea map.
