This policy explains what personal information WouldYouKorean collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and honest.
1. Who is responsible
WouldYouKorean, operated by Maru from the Republic of Korea, is responsible for your information. Contact: wouldyoukorean@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- Your name and email, when you book a lesson or contact us.
- Booking details: the package and lesson times you choose.
- Payment confirmation: the name, email, amount, and date shown to us by Wise or PayPal. We do not see or store your full card or bank numbers. Those are handled by Wise and PayPal.
3. How we use it
- To schedule and deliver your lessons.
- To match your payment to your booking and approve it.
- To contact you about your lessons, schedule, or refund requests.
- To keep basic records required for accounting and tax.
4. The services we use to run this
We use a small set of trusted services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Wise and PayPal: to take payment.
- TidyCal: to manage bookings.
- Zoom: to hold the lessons.
- Google (Sheets, Drive, Calendar): to keep schedules and student records.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the services above, as needed to run the lessons.
5. Where your data is processed
We operate from Korea and use international services, so your information may be processed in countries outside where you live, including Korea and the United States. We only use it for the purposes above.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are a student and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal and accounting needs. You can ask us to delete it sooner (see below), subject to records we must keep by law.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold, correct it, or delete it. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to access, correct, erase, or port your data, and to object to certain uses, under the GDPR. To make a request, email wouldyoukorean@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days.
8. Cookies
Our website uses only what is needed to make it work. We do not run advertising trackers on it.

If we change this policy, the latest version will always be on this page.
