Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
These terms apply when you book or take Korean lessons with WouldYouKorean. By booking a lesson or paying for a package, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
WouldYouKorean provides 1-on-1 online Korean lessons taught by Maru. We operate from the Republic of Korea. You can reach us at wouldyoukorean@gmail.com.
2. Our service
We offer live, 1-on-1 Korean speaking lessons of 50 minutes each, held online over Zoom. Lessons are sold as a single CORE Diagnostic Session or as 10, 20, or 40 Session packages. You schedule your lessons through our booking pages (TidyCal).
3. Booking and payment
- You pay for your lessons in advance through our external payment links (Wise or PayPal).
- After payment, you choose your schedule on the booking page. Your booking is confirmed only after we approve it and match it to your payment.
- If a booking does not match a completed payment, we may decline it.
4. Prices
Current prices are shown on our website. Wise payments are at list price. PayPal payments add 5% to cover PayPal's processing fee. We may change prices for future purchases, but a price change never affects a package you have already paid for.
5. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds, the per-lesson cancellation window, no-shows, and package validity are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Your responsibilities as a student
- Join your lessons on time and with a working internet connection. A missed lesson without 24 hours' notice counts as used (see the Refund Policy).
- Treat your teacher with respect. We may end lessons without refund in cases of abusive or unlawful behavior.
- Give accurate booking and contact information.
7. Lesson materials and recordings
All teaching materials, methods, and content we provide are owned by WouldYouKorean and are for your personal learning only. Please do not copy, resell, publish, or share them. Do not record a lesson without our permission.
8. Limitation of liability
We work hard to help you progress, but language learning also depends on your own effort and practice. We do not guarantee a specific result or level. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the affected lessons.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not remove any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you purchase applies to that purchase. The latest version is always on this page.
